Our South West Scotland trip in July is now fully booked; thanks very much to all those who responded quickly. If you have missed your chance but would like to come, contact Ian Wells to go on the waiting list.

We are very pleased to report that sufficient people have signed up for the tour to make it viable and to fill the rooms currently available in the hotel. We are now going to research and plan a detailed itinerary. This destination has the advantage of only three hours' travelling each way on the Friday and Sunday, and therefore more visiting time. The plan is to stay at the Cally Palace Hotel, an 18th-century country mansion, just outside Gatehouse of Fleet. The house and remaining historic landscape are Listed Grade A by Historic Environment Scotland.

On the Friday and Sunday there we would visit places in the borders, and in the town of Dumfries. On the Saturday we would travel further west to the peninsulas around Stranraer and Port Patrick.

We will supply detailed information to those coming along in due course. Thanks for all the support and let's hope we can replicate the success of the past summer trips.
