The reinstatement of external lime finishes at Pittencrieff House in Dunfermline is a typical example of the Scottish Lime Centre Trust's (SLCT) building advisory work, allied to the analysis of building materials in their laboratory to effect informed decisions for specifying appropriate and matching materials.

Roz Artis, Director of the SLCT, with over 25 years' experience in building conservation, took us on a journey from survey, sampling and analysis of building materials to the reinstatement of vibrant and authentic external building finishes.
