Hentie Louw

The architecture of the Low Countries

Hentie's interest in the architectural relations between Britain and the Low Countries started as a doctoral project but it became clear that the comprehensive approach to the subject needed was not feasible within the compass of a doctoral dissertation.

In this lecture he brought us up to date with his continued research.

After qualifying in Pretoria he moved to Europe studying architectural history under Bruce Allsop at Newcastle University and Sir Howard Colvin at Oxford University.
